Last week we visited the Farnborough Airshow. An early start gave us the opportunity to meet key contacts across the various exhibition halls, making it much easier to catch up with customers and partners. Many of our aerospace and defence customers were exhibiting, and it was great to have some valuable technical discussions about how our products continue to support their applications.

As always, there was an impressive range of technology on display. What stood out most compared with just two years ago was the sheer number of drones and uncrewed aircraft. From heavy-lift UAVs and autonomous platforms to unmanned helicopters, collaborative combat systems and cargo drones, the show highlighted just how rapidly uncrewed aviation is expanding across both military and civil operations.

Almost every aerospace and defence company showcased autonomous or uncrewed capabilities, with traditional aircraft now sharing the outdoor display space with drones of every size and configuration. It’s a clear reflection of how the industry is evolving—and it’s a trend that continues to create exciting opportunities and drive growth for our business in this important sector.
